Singh Car Rental

We are over here at 73, Bankra New Area in Kolkata. It is a pretty quiet spot most days, sitting right near Sri Aurbindo Siksha Sadan School. If you know that school, you know exactly where we are. Singh Car Rental isn't some big fancy corporation with a hundred floors. It’s just us working out of this space. We started this because there was a need for cars in the Bankra area and we had a few. Most of our morning is spent checking the vehicles and talking to the drivers. Sometimes the traffic on the main road makes things slow, but that is just how Kolkata is. We keep the keys on a rack by the door and there is usually some tea going. People from the neighborhood stop by to ask about rates for going to the airport or maybe a trip out of town. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It is just a local business where we know most of the people who call us. The school nearby means there are always kids and parents walking past our door in the afternoons. It gets a bit noisy when school lets out, but we like the energy. We have been in this spot for a while now and the office has a lot of old furniture that we probably should have replaced years ago. But it works for what we need and we keep things simple.
