Siddaganga Institute Of Technology

This place is tucked away in North Sreerampur. It’s an old part of Kolkata, and the building reflects that. We’ve been here at 68/1 for a long time. It’s not like those new universities you see with shiny gates. We have classrooms that have seen many years of students passing through. The atmosphere is generally quiet except for when classes are changing and the corridors get loud. We focus on the teaching part because that’s what people come here for. Most of our staff live nearby, so it feels like a neighborhood spot. We see students coming in from all over the area, some taking the train or the bus. The halls are a bit narrow and the fans make some noise in the summer, but it’s home to us. We don't have a huge marketing team or anything. Most people find us because their older brother or neighbor came here. We teach what needs to be taught and try to help where we can. It’s a straightforward environment. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just open the doors every morning and get to work. Life in Sreerampur moves at its own pace, and we are part of that. We take pride in just being a steady place where people can actually learn something without all the extra noise and branding you see elsewhere. It gets a bit dusty with the traffic nearby, but we keep the place as clean as we can.
