Shiksha Institute

Shiksha Institute is over in Salt Lake City, specifically at Cj 291 in Sector 2. We are pretty easy to find because we are near the 9 No Tank and Karunamayee. This is where we do our teaching and training for students. It is an educational spot that we have been running for a while. The building is a typical Salt Lake house that we have converted into classrooms. It is not like those big glass-and-steel colleges you see in the city center. It feels more like a home, which I think makes the students feel more comfortable while they learn. We have desks and whiteboards in the rooms, and we spend our days helping people improve their skills. The area is quite green and usually a bit quieter than the rest of Kolkata, which is nice for studying. We started this because we wanted a place where local students could come without having to travel too far from their homes. We don't have a big staff. It's just a few instructors and someone to help with the registrations. Sometimes the air conditioner acts up, but we get it fixed eventually. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just teach what we know. People find out about us through friends or neighbors. It’s a simple operation. We open up in the morning, wait for the students to arrive, and get to work. It is rewarding to see people succeed.
