You will find Getaway Tours Travels at Cf- 30 Sector 1 in Saltlake. It’s a pretty quiet area compared to the rest of the city, with a lot of trees and wide streets. Our office is on the ground floor and has these big windows that let in a lot of light during the day. We have some old maps pinned up on the walls and a few posters of places that people usually ask about. The phones ring quite a bit, mostly people checking on flight times or asking if a certain hotel has a room left for the weekend. We use a few old computers that take a minute to boot up in the morning. There’s a small pantry in the back where we make coffee, and the smell of it usually fills the whole room by ten. Most of the work involves typing out itineraries and making sure all the names are spelled right on the tickets. It’s a lot of staring at screens and talking on the phone with different hotels. We have a few chairs for visitors, but most people just call us these days. Sometimes a stray cat from the neighborhood comes and sits by the door. We don’t mind it much. It’s just a normal day-to-day routine here, trying to get people from one place to another without too much trouble. We close up around seven and head home like everyone else in the sector.
