Purnima Store

Purnima Store is located right on B T Road in the Cossipore area of Kolkata. If you know North Kolkata, you know how busy B T Road can get. There are buses and trucks rattling past all day long. It is a noisy place, but that is just how it is here. We have been in this spot for a long time. The building is old, like many others in Cossipore, but it holds up. We serve a lot of the local people who live in the narrow lanes behind the main road. The shop is quite small, and we have things stacked up high to make the most of the space. In the humidity of Kolkata, things can get a bit sticky, but we keep the fan going. We know our customers well; most of them have been coming here since they were kids. It is a simple life, opening the shutters early and closing up after the evening rush. We do not have any big posters or bright lights. Just a small sign and the goods we sell. It is part of the neighborhood, sitting right there on the edge of the busy road. We just keep our heads down and keep the shop going through the heat and the rain. That is how it has always been for us.
