New View Travel & Tourism

Starting out at New View Travel & Tourism wasn't something we planned to be a big deal, but here we are in Kalighat. Our office is right at 40/B S.R Das Road. If you know the area, it gets pretty busy around here. We spend most of our days dealing with train tickets, bus bookings, and people asking about where to go for a weekend break. It's just a small setup. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times we are just sitting here waiting for the next person to walk through the door. We try to keep things simple. Dealing with travel paperwork can be a real headache for people, so we just handle that part. It’s mostly just us and a couple of computers. There isn't any fancy furniture or anything like that. We know the local streets well, and being near Kalighat means we see a lot of different faces every day. People stop by on their way to work or while running errands. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us who know how the booking systems work. It’s a lot of checking schedules and making sure names are spelled right on the forms. We have seen the neighborhood change over the years, but the shop stays much the same. It's practical work. We don't make big promises, we just get the tickets done and hope the weather stays good for whoever is traveling. That's pretty much how we run things here on S.R Das Road.
