Nearu Tours & Travels

Our office, Nearu Tours & Travels, is located down in Nivedita Park South in the Hridaypur area. It is a quiet enough spot in Kolkata where the mornings and afternoons pass by quickly. We started this because planning a trip for a large family or on a tight budget can be so confusing for people. A lot of time goes into checking different routes and trying to find seats on trains that always seem to be full. It's not glamorous work, but the process is familiar to us. Conversations usually involve where people want to go and what they can afford. Some days are just for filing papers or calling up hotels to make sure a room is actually held for a guest. Being in Hridaypur, we get plenty of locals coming in just to ask questions or get help with their travel plans. There isn't a fancy lobby or anything like that here. It’s just a place with a few desks and some maps on the wall. Being honest about what's possible and what isn't is important to us. If a place is too crowded or a bus ride is too long, we say so. Things should go smoothly for the people who trust us with their plans. It’s a small operation at Nivedita Park South, and that suits us fine. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
