We are located in Shree Krishna Chambers at 78 Bentinck Street. Kolkata is a busy city, and this street is no exception. Our office is tucked away in the building. We handle travel bookings and trip planning for people who want to go somewhere new. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking schedules. Sometimes the internet acts up, but we manage. The building is old but has character. We have some maps pinned to the walls. Mostly, we are looking at flights and hotel prices all day. People come in with a lot of questions about where to go. We tell them what we know based on what’s available. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s interesting to see where everyone wants to go. The tea guy comes by twice a day, which is the highlight of the afternoon. We try to keep the desk clutter under control, though it’s hard with all the printed itineraries. Bentinck Street always has something going on. It’s a good spot to be. We’ve been here for a while now and know the neighbors. We aren't a giant corporation, just a team sitting in a room trying to get folks on their way. It’s practical work. We don’t have a fancy lounge or anything. Just desks, computers, and a lot of patience for the busy season. We just want to make sure the tickets are right and the dates work out for everyone.
