La Machinotech

Down at 9 Iswar Chandra Banerjee Lane, that is where La Machinotech is located. It is a bit of a narrow street, so you have to keep an eye out for the sign when you drive by. We have got a shop floor that stays pretty busy with mechanical parts and machines. We do a lot of turning, milling, and general machining work. My dad used to say that if a piece of metal can be cut, we can figure out how to do it. It is a lot of grease and oil, and the smell of cutting fluid is always in the air. We do not have a website that is updated every day or a fancy receptionist at the door. Usually, whoever is not holding a tool at the moment is the one who answers the phone. We work with a lot of small-scale manufacturers who need parts made to specific dimensions. Sometimes they bring in an old broken part and ask us to replicate it because they cannot buy it anymore. That is the kind of thing we enjoy. It is like solving a puzzle with steel. The lane can get crowded when deliveries come in, but we manage. We have been in this spot for years and the neighbors know us. We are just a group of people who like working with our hands and making sure the machines we build or fix are going to last.
