Our office is located at 60, B.R.B. Basu Road, right on Canning Street. If you know this area, you know how crowded and loud it gets. There are people everywhere and the tea stalls are always busy. We’ve been in this building for quite some time. It’s an old place with high ceilings and heavy doors. We spend our time trading and handling various goods that come through this part of the city. Most of our day is spent on the phone or talking to people who walk in off the street. There is always a stack of paperwork on the desk and boxes waiting to be moved. We don’t have much room for anything that isn’t useful. It’s a bit cramped, but that’s just how it is on Canning Street. We know most of the other traders around here and we’ve seen shops come and go over the years. We just keep doing what we’ve always done. We don't have any flashy signs or big advertisements. Most people find us because they’ve been told we have what they’re looking for. It’s a simple way of doing business, but it works for us. When the sun starts to go down and the street gets a little quieter, we finally get a chance to organize for the next day. It’s a long day every day, but we are used to the rhythm of this road and the people who work here.
