AKSHOY PLASTIC WORKS

If you find yourself on Roy J. N. Chowdhury Lane, you’ll eventually come across us at 26/1/1. Akshoy Plastic Works has been operating out of this lane for a long time. It’s one of those narrow streets where everyone knows everyone else’s business. The workshop itself is full of the smell of warm plastic and the sound of machines clicking and whirring. It can get pretty cramped inside with the raw materials stacked up and the finished products waiting to be moved out. We don’t have any fancy air conditioning, so we usually have a few big fans blowing to keep the air moving while we work. The floor is concrete and shows all the years of use it has seen. Our day starts early, usually before the lane gets too crowded with people and carts. We spend most of our time hovering over the molds or checking the settings on the equipment. It’s manual work, and your hands usually get a bit dirty by the end of the shift. We don’t have a website or anything like that, just the physical shop where we make things. People stop by to chat or ask about orders, and we just talk to them through the doorway. It’s a simple way of doing things, and we’ve stuck with it because it works for us. Just a local plastic shop trying to keep the machines running and the orders moving out of the lane.
