Started at Grh-17 Baishnabghata, it is a busy part of Kolkata. People are always walking past the gates. Inside, things are usually a bit loud because of the traffic on the main road. The building has been here for a while and you can see it in the walls. Most of the staff live around Garia or take the metro. We get here early, usually around ten, and wait for the students to start filling up the rooms. It gets really hot in the afternoons, especially in the summer months when the fans just push the warm air around. There is a small tea stall just outside where everyone goes for a break. We do not have fancy elevators or anything like that. It is just a regular place where people come to study and go home. The stairs are quite narrow, so when classes change, it gets a bit cramped in the hallways. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit and we just wait it out. It is not a quiet spot by any means. The local buses stop right near the entrance, which makes it easy for the kids but also adds to the noise. We just try to keep things moving. There is a lot of paperwork usually piled up in the office. It is just a normal day-to-day life here in this part of town. Nothing too special about the building itself, just brick and concrete like everything else in the neighborhood.
