Jay Shree Tea & Industries

You’ll find us way up on the 15th floor at 10, Camac Street. Being that high up gives us a pretty good view of the city, especially when the weather is clear and you can see all the way across the rooftops. Jay Shree Tea & Industries is a busy place, with a lot of different departments all crammed onto one floor. It can get a bit loud with all the phones ringing and people walking back and forth between the cubicles. Despite being in such a big building, we try to keep things down to earth. We’ve got some old wooden furniture mixed in with the newer stuff, and there’s always a tray of tea cups being moved around. The lifts in this building are always a gamble; sometimes they’re fast and other times you’re waiting for ten minutes with a bunch of other office workers. We handle a lot of the big-picture stuff for the tea estates from here. It’s a lot of spreadsheets and long meetings about weather patterns and harvest times. We don’t have much in the way of fancy decorations, just some maps of the tea growing regions and maybe a few photos from the last site visit. Most of us have worked here for years, so we know each other’s habits pretty well. It’s a solid place to work, even if the air conditioning is sometimes a bit too cold in the winter months.
