Jadavpur University

Our branch for Jadavpur University is located at Nandagarh, right on Jessore Road (E) in the Kazipara area of Barasat. Being on Jessore Road means there is always a lot of movement and noise from the trucks and buses going by. It is a very busy part of 24 Pgs(N) West Bengal. The building is easy to spot once you get to Kazipara. We have been here for a good amount of time, and the locals all know where the university office is. Inside, the rooms are quite large, though they are filled up with desks and shelves. We do a lot of the heavy lifting when it comes to paperwork here. The floors are stone, and they stay cool even when it is sweltering outside. We have a small area where people can wait, but it is nothing fancy, just some wooden chairs along the wall. The windows are usually kept shut to keep out the dust from the road. We drink a lot of tea to stay focused throughout the day. Working at Nandagarh feels like being in the middle of everything because of the location. We don't have much in the way of decoration, just some old calendars and the necessary notices pinned to the boards. It is a hardworking environment where we just try to keep things moving. If you are looking for us, just ask any of the shopkeepers near Jessore Road and they will point you to the right door. We are here every morning.
