Jadavpur University

We are located at 29/1 Ramji Hazra Lane in Shibpur. It is a bit of a walk from the main road, but most people know the way by now. Jadavpur University has this spot here in Howrah-711101, and it stays quite busy with people coming in and out all day. The building itself has been around for a long time. You can see the old walls and the way the stairs have worn down over the years. We mostly handle the local stuff here. There is a small tea stall just a few steps away where we usually take our breaks when the sun gets too hot. The lane is narrow, so if two rickshaws meet, someone has to back up. It gets a bit noisy during the afternoon when the school nearby lets out, but otherwise, it is a decent place to work. We spend a lot of time organizing papers and talking to anyone who drops by with questions. Most of us have lived in this part of Howrah for years, so we know the neighbors well. It is not a fancy office with big glass windows or anything like that. It is just a plain, functional space where we get the day’s tasks done. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we just open the windows and keep going. That is just how things are at 29/1 Ramji Hazra Lane. We try to keep the place tidy, though the dust from the road always finds its way inside somehow.
