Our office is located at 5/18 in Poddar Nagar, right here in Kolkata. If you know the area near the 68 postal code, we are not hard to find. We focus on management sciences, which basically means a lot of lectures, textbooks, and students running around with notebooks. The building is one of those older Kolkata structures that has its own character. It isn't particularly modern, but it stays cool enough in the summer heat. We spend our mornings setting up the rooms and getting the attendance sheets ready. Usually, the hallway is full of chatter between classes. We don’t really go in for those flashy advertisements you see on the main roads. We just open the doors every morning and get to work. Sometimes the traffic in Poddar Nagar makes it a bit slow to get here, but once you are inside, it is a different world. We have a small library and some rooms for the faculty to sit and grade papers. It is a straightforward operation without any hidden bells or whistles. People come here because they want to study, and we provide the space and the materials for them to do that. It’s a simple life for us, really. We see a lot of faces come and go every year, and it feels good to be part of the local community. The tea shop around the corner is where we usually end up after the last class of the day.
