We are based at H1 216 in Ramanujam Hall, which is part of the Indian Institute Of Management Calcutta campus out on D H Road in Joka. Being in Joka means we are a bit removed from the main chaos of the city, which is something we appreciate. Ramanujam Hall is a familiar sight for anyone who has spent time on this campus. Our room, H1 216, is where the work happens. It’s a functional space, filled with the usual office supplies and a few personal items we’ve brought in over the years. The campus itself is quite green, which makes the view from the window much nicer than just looking at a brick wall. We spend a lot of time walking up and down D H Road to get what we need. The hall has its own character, with students and staff always moving through the corridors. It’s a lively environment, but inside our room, things stay relatively focused. We’ve been at this Joka address for quite some time now. We don't have any flashy slogans or a mission statement on the wall; we just have the work that needs doing. Every day is pretty much the same: we arrive, we work through the pile of things on our desks, and we take a break when we can. It’s a straightforward way to live and work, and being here in Ramanujam Hall makes it feel like home.
