Icfai Promotion Development Department

Over here at the Icfai Promotion Development Department in Kolkata, we are located at BF 42 in Rabindrapally. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road in Krishnapur, but it’s a decent neighborhood. The building is more like a house than a big corporate office, which makes it feel a bit more relaxed. We handle a lot of the outreach work from this small space. There are always stacks of flyers or brochures sitting around on the tables. It’s often quite humid, as you’d expect in Kolkata, so the ceiling fans are always spinning at full speed. We know the neighbors and the local shops nearby quite well. Most of our day is spent planning events or just trying to get the word out about the programs. It’s not very glamorous work, just a lot of coordination and making sure things are moving along. Sometimes we have a bit of trouble with the parking because the lanes are narrow around here. We usually just bring our lunch from home and eat together in the small break area. It’s a quiet spot for the most part, except for the occasional street noise or someone honking outside. We’ve been here at BF 42 for a while, and we’ve gotten used to the quirks of the building, like the light switch that’s a bit loose. It’s just a normal workplace with normal people doing their jobs.
