Heritage Instt Of Technology

Our administrative space is located at Flat 1 in the Sree Niketan building. It is a modest setup, basically just an apartment that has been converted into an office for the Heritage Instt Of Technology. Because it is in a residential-style building, it has a very different feel than a large campus or a commercial tower. You have to walk through the main entrance and head to Flat 1, where the door is usually propped open during the day. Inside, we have turned the main rooms into workspaces with desks, computers, and a lot of shelving for student files. The kitchen area is now where we keep the water cooler and the tea supplies. It’s a bit of a tight fit sometimes, especially when we have several people visiting at once, but we make it work. The walls are decorated with a few old posters and a big calendar to keep track of the academic year. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy lobby; you just walk in and talk to whoever is sitting at the nearest desk. It’s a very informal and honest way of working. Being in Sree Niketan means we are part of the daily life of the building, seeing the same neighbors in the hallway every day. It is a simple, practical way to have a presence in this part of town without needing a huge, expensive office. We just focus on the daily tasks of managing the institute's needs from this small home base.
