Heritage College Of Education is right there in the Howrah district, specifically in the Vill. P.O.-Rabibhag area. Most days start early here because the village life doesn't really wait for anyone to wake up slowly. We spend a lot of our time just keeping things running as they should. The building itself is what you’d expect from a college in West Bengal, solid and functional without any unnecessary extras. Sometimes the ceiling fans are a bit loud during the lectures, but they do the job when it gets really humid in the afternoons. Students come from all over the local area to attend. It’s not just about the classes for us, it’s about the actual people who show up every morning. We deal with the usual paperwork, exams, and all the regular stuff that comes with running an education place in a rural setting. The roads around Rabibhag can be a bit tricky during the heavy rainy season, but people always manage to get here. There isn't a lot of fancy stuff to look at. We have desks, blackboards, and a lot of books stacked in the office. We keep the gates open and the local people know where to find us. It’s a busy place but gets quiet in its own way once the sessions start. Nobody here is trying to impress anyone with big words or shiny brochures. We just do the work that needs doing every day. If you walk down the main road in the village, you can't really miss the building. It’s just a part of the landscape now at 711312.
