G. S. Marble

You can find G. S. Marble at Shop No-553A on D.H. Road. We are right opposite Behala and very close to the State Bank of India. It is a prime spot but it gets very crowded with all the people and cars on D.H. Road. We have been selling marble here for a long time. Our shop is packed with different slabs leaned up against the walls. It is a bit cramped, but we manage to show people what we have. Most of the time we are moving heavy pieces around so customers can see the patterns. It is dusty work, and we are constantly cleaning the surfaces so the colors show up. Being near the bank makes it easy for people to give directions to our place. We do not have a fancy showroom with air conditioning. It is just a regular shop where we do business face to face. We have seen Behala change so much over the years, but the demand for stone stays pretty steady. We just try to keep a good variety in stock. It is a family-run type of thing, nothing too corporate. We are usually here from morning until late evening. If you need stone for a project, we are just sitting here on the main road. Most people just walk in and start looking at the colors.
