You can find us at No.553 on Jessore Road, right near where the 219 bus stops. Nagar Bazar is always crowded, so there’s a lot of activity right outside our door. We deal in marble mostly. It’s heavy work, moving these big pieces of stone around. We’ve been at this location for quite some time now. Most of our customers are just local folks trying to fix up their houses or builders working on projects nearby. We have different types of stone, some from nearby and some from further away. The shop isn't anything special to look at, just a place where we keep the inventory. It gets loud with the traffic on Jessore Road, but you get used to it after a while. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of the slabs that arrive. If there's a crack, we have to deal with it. We aren't salesmen with suits; we’re usually covered in a bit of stone dust by the end of the shift. People stop by to ask prices or just to see what’s new in stock. We try to be helpful and show them what we have in the back. It’s a steady business. We know the regulars by name. Sometimes we help with the loading if the customer has a small vehicle. It’s just how we run things here. There is no air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that works when it wants to. We spend most of the day on our feet moving samples around for people to see.
