Our place, Explore - Surf & Travel, is over at 158, Barasat Road in Ghola Bazar. We’re really close to Shashi Bushan High School. You can hear the school bell ringing sometimes if the wind is blowing the right way. It’s a lively part of Kolkata 700111. The market area is always full of people buying vegetables or just walking around. We’ve been at this address for a while. The shop is small but we’ve organized it the best we can. It’s a bit of a trek for some people to get out to Ghola, but it’s our home base. We like being near the school; it feels like a proper community. Most of our day is spent at the computer or on the phone. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations. Just some maps and a few pictures on the wall to make it look okay. It’s a real working office. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when several people come in at once, but we handle it. Barasat Road is always moving. We just fit into the rhythm of the street. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s ours. We just try to keep things simple and honest. If you know the high school, you can find us easily enough. We’re just another shop on the row, doing our daily work. It’s a bit loud with the traffic but we don’t mind it. It’s just part of being in Ghola Bazar.
