The building is older, like a lot of the structures in this part of town, but it serves us well. We’re in the 700020 zip code area, which puts us right in the heart of things. Our office isn't about being flashy. We have desks, computers, and a lot of samples lying around. Some days the traffic outside is so loud you can barely hear yourself think, but you get used to the city rhythm after a while. We aren't trying to be some big corporate entity with a glass front. We’re just a group of people working on fashion projects. The space is a bit lived-in, with stacks of papers and fabric swatches everywhere. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy coffee machine. We usually just send someone out to the local stall when we need a break. Most of our time is spent on the phone or working through design ideas. It’s a practical workspace for practical people. People drop by, we talk business, and we keep things moving. It’s a very standard Kolkata business life. We appreciate the fact that we can get anywhere in the city from this location, even if the commute sometimes takes twice as long as it should.
