Down in Kolkata, near CIT Road, things are always moving fast. We are located at P 312, Scheme Vi M, which is a bit of a mouthful to say but easy enough to find if you know the neighborhood. This college is where people come when they want to become teachers. You see them practicing their lessons or carrying big stacks of books and charts. The building is typical for this part of the city, kind of tucked in with everything else. The hallways are narrow and sometimes it gets a bit loud with all the city noise coming in through the windows. We spend a lot of time in the staff room drinking tea and talking about the next semester. There’s a lot of focus on the practical side of teaching, so students are often out visiting schools.
