We run Darshan Travels And Caterer out of 34A Ratan Babu Road in the Cossipore area. It is a bit of a mix here, with us handling travel bookings and doing the catering work too. Our kitchen gets pretty busy and loud, especially during the peak wedding season. You can usually smell whatever we are cooking from way down the street. It is a local neighborhood, so almost everyone knows each other by their first names. The office part is just a small, cluttered desk where we keep the big ledgers and handle the daily bookings. It is not very organized-looking, with papers and folders everywhere, but we know exactly where every single thing is kept. Cossipore is an old, historic part of town, and the roads can be very narrow and tricky to navigate. We have had our vans and catering trucks navigating these tight lanes for many years now. It is a family-style operation, really. Some days we are all busy packing hundreds of lunches, and other days we are planning a long bus trip for a local group. It certainly keeps us on our toes. We do not have a big marketing team or a fancy advertising budget. Most people just hear about us from their neighbors or relatives. We just try to make sure the food tastes good and the trips go smoothly for everyone involved. It is just hard work every day.
