Cims College

We are located at 12 A Sourin Roy Road in Kolkata. This is a college where students come for their higher studies. The area around here is always moving. You have the shops, the small eateries, and the constant hum of the city. Being in West Bengal, the weather gets quite humid, so we keep the windows open as much as we can. The college building is a bit older, with high ceilings and those heavy wooden doors. We do not have a big campus like some of the newer places outside the city, but we have enough room for our lectures and the library. Students spend a lot of time sitting in the hallways discussing their notes or waiting for the next professor to arrive. It is a simple setup. We have a small office where all the registrations and fees are handled. It is usually a bit chaotic with papers everywhere. We do not try to be anything we are not. It is just a place for learning and getting a degree. The staff here has been around for years, and we have seen many batches of students come and go. Most of them still remember the tea stall just outside the main gate. That is where a lot of the real socializing happens anyway. We just keep the classes running and make sure the exams are organized. We are just part of the local scenery here on Sourin Roy Road.
