Studio Mita is located over in Villag Passpost Ananda Nagar. It’s a bit of a trek for some, but it’s home for us. The space is mostly dedicated to our gear and the back area where we keep all the old prints and records. Ananda Nagar is a quiet spot, and we like that it's away from the main hubbub. We spend a lot of time adjusting the lights or cleaning the lenses. It's a small place, so we have to be careful not to trip over the cords that run across the floor. We’ve been here for quite some time, and the locals know the name. Sometimes people stop in just to see if we can help with a small project or to get something copied. We don't have a big front desk, just a counter where we can write things down and talk to people. The walls have a few things pinned up, mostly reminders or notes from people who have visited. It’s a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is. On rainy days, the sound on the roof is quite loud, which makes it hard to hear the phone. But we don't mind. It’s a steady kind of life here in the village. We just take things as they come and keep the studio going. The door sticks a little in the humidity, so you have to give it a good push to get it open. We keep a few extra chairs in the corner for when folks want to sit and talk.
