Sudip Majumdar Photography Creativity

I set up the studio in Nagar Bazar because it’s where everything happens. My name is Sudip and I spend most of my time here with the cameras and lights. It’s not always glamorous. A lot of the day is just sitting at the computer or cleaning lenses. The traffic outside in Nagar Bazar is always loud, so you get used to that background noise while working. I started this because I liked taking pictures, and now it’s a full-time job with plenty of paperwork too. People come in for portraits or to ask about shooting their family events. The space isn’t very big, so I have to be careful where I put the tripods so nobody trips. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait around, which is just part of living here. I don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what I do. I just take the photos and try to make sure they look okay before the customer picks them up. It’s a lot of clicking and adjusting settings. I keep my gear in old bags that have seen better days, but they work fine. When I'm not shooting, I'm usually organizing files or talking to the printer down the street. It’s a simple setup, nothing like those big corporate offices you see in the city center. Just me and my camera in a small room.
