If you look for us near the Nandobhar Super Market in Brasad, you’ll find our spot at 18/24 Kanjipadha Main Rode. Suhas started Suhas Photography because he really liked taking pictures, and now it’s just what we do every single day. The studio is a bit cramped because we have all these backdrops and lights taking up most of the floor space. There is always a camera bag sitting on the table and some half-finished editing on the computer screen that someone is clicking through. The street outside is pretty busy with people going to the market, so there’s always noise coming through the door. We do a lot of portraits and local events for the families around here. Sometimes people just walk in needing a quick photo for a document, and other times we are packing up all the tripods to go to a wedding. It’s a lot of waiting for the right light and then a lot of sitting around checking the shots on a small screen. We have a small wooden bench for people to sit on while they wait for their turn. The walls are covered with some of the work we’ve done over the years, mostly families and local scenes. It gets a bit messy with all the cords and tripods, but we know where every single piece of gear is kept. It’s just a simple photography business, nothing too complicated. We try to make people feel okay in front of the lens. Most days end late.
