We are based in Sagar Estate, specifically at 2 N.C Dutta Sarani. This part of the city has a very old-school feel to it, which we quite like. The building is one of those classic ones that has seen a lot of things over the years. Our office inside Sagar Estate is where all the daily activity happens. It’s usually a bit chaotic in the mornings with paperwork and people coming in and out. There’s always the smell of tea somewhere in the air, given the nature of what we do. The rooms are high-ceilinged and can get a bit cold in the winter months, but we just wear extra layers and keep going. We don't have any of that modern minimalist furniture; our desks are solid and have been here for years. You won't find any motivational posters on the walls here, just calendars and maybe a few old photos of how things used to look. We value the fact that we are in a historic business district. It makes us feel connected to the past. Most of the staff has been around for decades, and we know each other's families and stories. It’s a tight-knit group. We don't really bother with big speeches or trying to sound important. We just focus on the shipments and making sure the records are right. It’s a lot of manual work and checking things twice, but we are used to the pace of it.
