Chamong Tea Co Ltd

We’ve been at 4, Alipore Park Road for a long time now. It’s a quiet enough spot compared to the rest of the city, which helps when we’re trying to get things done. Most days start the same way. The staff arrives, someone gets the kettle going, and we start looking through the latest news from the tea gardens. Chamong Tea Co Ltd handles a lot of moving parts. There’s always paperwork to sort out and phone calls to make to people up in the hills. It’s not a fancy setup here, just desks, some old filing cabinets, and the smell of dried leaves that seems to stick to everything. Sometimes the rain makes the building feel a bit damp, but that’s just how it is in this part of the world. We don’t spend much time on decorations. Most of the space is taken up by samples and logs. You can see the trees outside the window, which is nice when the sun hits them in the afternoon. People come and go, mostly delivery folks or someone dropping off a message. We don't really have a front desk person sitting there all day. If you walk in, you might have to shout a hello to get someone’s attention from the back room. It’s a practical place for a practical business. We’ve seen the tea trade change quite a bit over the years, but our routine stays mostly the same.
