Camellia Institute Of Technology

The Camellia Institute Of Technology is located out on S. P. Mukherjee Road in the area of Baikunthapur. We are officially in the Tribeni area, which falls within the Hoogly district. It is a bit of a trek for some people to get out here, but it is a good, quiet spot for an institute. We have the usual mix of classrooms and laboratories that you would expect to find. The buildings are not brand new, and you can definitely see the wear and tear from all the students passing through over the years. We spend our days making sure the class schedules are being followed and that all the equipment is still working. It takes a lot of daily coordination. Being in Hoogly means we get a good mix of local students and some who come from much further away. S. P. Mukherjee Road can get quite dusty during the dry season, but that is just part of living here. We are not trying to be a fancy private college with perfectly manicured lawns. We just provide a real place for people to study technology and eventually get their degrees. The staff members here are mostly local people who know this area very well. We have our daily routines and we try to stick to them. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait, but we just carry on with things. It is a plain, functional place for learning in Baikunthapur.
