Bush Tea Co.Pvt.Ltd is based at 44 Umesh Mukherjee Road in Belghoria, Kolkata. We’ve been at this address for many years now. Kolkata is a city that never really stops, and our street is no exception. It’s usually pretty loud with cars and people, but once you step inside our place, it’s all about the tea. We spend a lot of time looking at samples and checking on batches. It’s a practical business, not something you’d see in a glossy magazine. The building is older and has its quirks, like the occasional leaky roof or a creaky door, but it’s home to us. We don't have a big corporate board or anything like that. It’s just us doing the daily work of handling tea. Most of our morning is spent sorting through paperwork and making sure the orders are ready to go out. We don’t use any fancy language to describe what we do. We just handle tea and try to do it right. The smell of tea leaves is everywhere here, which is nice. Sometimes the West Bengal weather makes things a bit humid and slow, but we just keep at it. It’s a steady life and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood.
