Binani Cafe

Our cafe is located at 26 P K Tagore Street, which is just off Beadon Street in an old neighborhood of Kolkata. This building has been here for a long time and the cafe feels like it belongs to another era. We serve basic things like tea, coffee, and a few snacks like biscuits or toast. It is a very quiet place compared to the main roads. A lot of the local men come here to spend their afternoons talking or reading the newspaper. We don't have any modern machines or fancy decor. The fans on the ceiling are old and they creak a bit when they are on. We have a few small tables and the walls are a bit dusty from the years. We know most of the people who come through the door because they live just around the corner. It is a slow business. We don't rush anyone to finish their tea. Sometimes the cat from the street comes in and sits under a table. We don't mind. We aren't looking to expand or make the place look new. We just like it the way it is. The kitchen is just a small corner with a stove and some big pots. We make the tea with plenty of milk and sugar because that is how our customers like it. It is just a small, old-fashioned cafe where time seems to go a bit slower.
