Out here at No. 193/2 Ramkrishna Sarani Behala, things are usually pretty lively. Anubhuti Tourist Services is where we spend our mornings and late evenings. It is mostly about helping people figure out where they want to go for their holidays. We have maps and schedules scattered on the desks. Behala is a crowded area, so there is always someone popping in to ask about train tickets or bus routes. We aren't a giant agency with hundreds of staff. It’s just a few of us who know the routes and the hotels. We spend a lot of time on the phone or typing on the old computers to get bookings sorted. Sometimes the internet is slow, and we just have to wait it out while chatting with whoever is in the office. People come to us because they want to see a bit of the world without a lot of fuss. We try to keep it simple. If a trip is too expensive, we say so. If a place is crowded, we mention that too. It is a straightforward way of working. The shop has been on Ramkrishna Sarani for a while now. We like the neighborhood and the regular people who come back every year to plan their next getaway. It’s just about getting people from one place to another without too much trouble. We don't do fancy ads, just honest talk about travel and destinations.
