Astha Holidays

Our place is at 2/14, Dum Dum Road. It is very close to the Dumdum Metro Station so there are always people rushing around outside. You can hear the sound of the trains and the announcements sometimes if the wind is blowing the right way. Being in the 700074 area of Kolkata means things are never truly quiet at any time of day. Astha Holidays is a small shop. We don't have plush carpets or expensive coffee machines. We just have a place for people to sit and some computers. People coming from the metro station often look very tired so we try to keep the atmosphere inside our office a bit calm. Dum Dum Road is a major artery for this part of the city. There is always a lot of dust and noise from the yellow taxis and buses. We have grown used to the chaos. Sometimes we just stand at the door to watch the crowd move by toward the station. It is a real mix of people. We don't spend much on advertising because being near the metro station helps people find us anyway. We handle travel bookings and paperwork without making a big fuss about it. We aren't trying to be the biggest agency in Kolkata. We just like being here on Dum Dum Road. It is a practical location. We have our regulars who drop by just to say hello or ask about a ticket.
