Anish Travels

Anish Travels is based at 62, Ambagan Road in Kolkata. It’s a bit of a different vibe here compared to the main highways. Ambagan Road has its own pace. We have been operating from this building for a good while. The office is small and usually smells like the incense we light in the morning. We have a few cars and we organize travel for people who need to get around the city or maybe go further out into the state. It is not a high-tech operation. Most of our bookings are written in a big ledger book with a blue cover. Anish is usually around, or someone from the family is sitting at the main desk. We don’t spend money on big ads or billboards. Most of our customers are people who live on Ambagan Road or the streets nearby. They know us and we know them. Sometimes the phones don't stop ringing and other times it’s so quiet you can hear the birds outside. We try to keep the vehicles clean, though the Kolkata roads make that a constant battle. It’s a simple setup. We have a few plastic chairs for people to wait in and a calendar on the wall that is usually a month behind. It’s just how we do things here. We aren't looking to become a giant company, just keeping the cars moving and the local folks happy with their trips.
