Our shop is located at Shop No 10 in the Anand Jyoti Building, which is at 41 Netaji Subhas Road. If you know this road, you know how busy and crowded it can be at almost any time of the day. There are people everywhere and the noise from the traffic is constant. We have been here for a while now, running our business from this small space. It is a bit of a squeeze inside with all the stock we keep, but we make it work. We spend our days dealing with customers who come in off the street or call us up. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s just a few of us here making sure things get done. The building itself is older and has a lot of character, though the stairs can be a bit of a climb. We keep our records in big ledgers and on a small computer. It’s not a high-tech operation, just a regular shop. We focus on the everyday items we sell and trying to keep everything in stock. Sometimes it’s hard to find things in the back when we are busy, but we eventually get there. We like being on Netaji Subhas Road despite the chaos because everything is right here. We just open up in the morning, do our work, and head home in the evening like everyone else. It’s a simple life and a simple business.
