A Faizullabhoy & Co

You can find us on the ground floor at 12/B Clive Row, which some people call Rajendra Prasad Sarani these days. It’s one of those old buildings in a part of town that has seen a lot of changes over the years. A Faizullabhoy & Co has been around for a long time, and we’ve stayed in this same spot through it all. The ground floor is convenient because we don’t have to deal with elevators or long flights of stairs. The ceilings are high and the floors are made of that old stone that stays cool even when it’s hot outside. We deal with a lot of paperwork and ledgers, keeping track of everything the old-fashioned way mostly. There’s a heavy wooden door at the entrance that creaks a bit when you open it. We should probably oil it, but it’s been like that for years. The street outside is always full of people and cars, especially during the middle of the day. We have a small staff here, and we’ve all worked together for quite a while. We know who likes their tea with sugar and who doesn't. We don’t have a website or anything like that; we just focus on the work right in front of us. It’s a quiet life inside the office, even if the world outside is noisy. We stay until the sun starts to set and then we lock the big front door and head home.
