Asoka World School

You can find us down Parayil Lane in the Elamakkara neighborhood. It’s a bit of a tucked-away spot, which is actually quite nice because it keeps the school away from the main road traffic. We’ve been operating here for some time now. The building has several floors and we use every bit of space we have for the classrooms. We have kids of all ages here, so the hallways are usually full of energy during the breaks. Our teachers are mostly people who live around this part of town. They know the shortcuts through the lanes to get here on time. We don't have a massive field, but there's a paved area where the kids play and do their morning exercises. It gets pretty lively during the lunch hour. We focus on the regular subjects like science, math, and languages. We try to keep things organized, but with so many children, there's always a bit of chaos somewhere. That’s just how schools are. Parents like that we are in a residential area like Elamakkara because it feels safe for their kids. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just open the doors every morning, teach the lessons, and make sure everyone gets home okay at the end of the day. It’s a simple, local school that has become a part of the community here over the years. We just keep at it.
