Woodbine Gardenia School

Woodbine Gardenia School is located at Rehman House, right on the G T Road in Rawatpur. Being right on the G T Road means we are in the middle of all the noise and the constant movement of the city. You can hear the trucks and the horns all day long, but we’ve all gotten used to the sound by now. The school is actually housed in Rehman House, which gives it a bit of a different feel than a purpose-built campus. We have to make the most of the space we have. Sometimes the hallways feel a bit narrow when the classes are changing, but we manage just fine. There isn't a lot of polish or shine here. The walls might have a few scuffs, and the furniture is definitely well-used by the children. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big slogans or fancy promises. The teachers here are mostly locals who know the families in the Rawatpur area. We spend our mornings checking the attendance and making sure the classrooms are ready for the day. It’s a hands-on kind of place. If a light bulb goes out or a fan stops, one of us usually fixes it ourselves. The name "Gardenia" might sound a bit fancy, but we are just a regular school trying to do right by the kids in our neighborhood. We focus on the books and the daily schedule. When the final bell rings, the kids head out to the busy road.
