Kasturba School

Kasturba School has been around here at D-2/T1 Arampur Estate for quite a while now. Most people around the estate know where we are. It’s not a massive fancy place, but it gets the job done for the families nearby. Every morning the gates open early and you can hear the kids starting to arrive. Some walk, some get dropped off by their parents on their way to work. We have different classrooms for the various grades and a bit of space where they can run around during their breaks. The staff mostly lives around here too, so we know a lot of the parents personally. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy when everyone is out in the yard, but that is just how schools are. We keep the place tidy, though the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint one of these days. Inside, the teachers are usually busy getting their lessons ready or grading papers. It is a lot of work keeping everything organized. We have desks that have seen better days but they still hold up. The kids bring their own lunch boxes and sit together to eat. It feels like a small community really. Nothing too complicated or formal here. We just focus on getting through the school day and making sure everyone learns something. It is a steady routine that everyone has grown used to over the years. We are just a local school doing what we can for the kids in Arampur Estate.
