M.G. Junior High School

You can find M.G. Junior High School tucked away in C-Block of Kidwai Nagar here in Kanpur. Our address is 128/39, and it is a spot that most people in this part of 208011 know well. The street can get pretty narrow and crowded, especially when the school day starts and all the cycles and rickshaws are trying to get through the lane. It is an older building, so it has that lived-in feel to it. The walls have been painted a few times over the years, and the floors show the wear and tear of thousands of footsteps. We have a small staff of teachers who have been with us for a long time. They know the names of almost every student and their siblings too. During the summer, the ceiling fans hum all day long to keep the heat at bay. We do not have a big fancy playground, just a small open space where the kids gather for assembly. The office is usually cluttered with registers and old files, but we know where everything is. Parents often stop by the window to ask about their child’s progress or just to pay the monthly fees. It is a very local, neighborhood school. We do not spend money on big ads; people mostly hear about us from their neighbors. It is a busy, noisy, and honest place where we just focus on getting through the curriculum every year without any extra fuss.
