St Thomas School

You can find us in Kidwai Nagar, specifically at 128/440 Block K. Kanpur is a big, busy city, and Kidwai Nagar is a central spot for many families who live around here. Our school is a familiar sight in this block. We have been operating out of this building for a long time, and it shows in the way the stairs are worn down and the walls have been touched up many times over the years. The school day starts early, and the sound of children arriving fills the air before the traffic even gets heavy. We have various classrooms spread across the floors, and the teachers spend their time moving between them with stacks of notebooks. It is a very hands-on place. We do not have a big corporate team; we just have our staff who handle everything from the front desk to the cleaning. Sometimes the gate squeaks or a light bulb needs changing, and we just handle it as we go. The playground is a bit small, but it gets the job done during the lunch break. People in Kanpur know us as just another part of the neighborhood. We focus on the daily lessons and making sure the students are where they need to be. It is a simple setup, but it works for the people who live in Block K and the surrounding streets. We don't try to be anything we are not, just a school for the local kids.
