Science Point

Science Point is located at 122, Lajpat Nagar. We are really close to the Mariampur Crossing, which most people in Kanpur know well. I’ve been teaching science here for a long time. The space is simple. It’s just a room filled with benches and a whiteboard that’s seen a lot of use over the years. I don’t like the idea of those massive coaching centers where nobody knows your name. Here, it’s just me and a small group of students. We sit down and work through the chapters together. The traffic outside the crossing can be quite loud, especially in the evenings when everyone is heading home. Sometimes a stray dog wanders near the door or you hear the tea seller calling out. It’s just the natural vibe of Lajpat Nagar. I handle everything from the teaching to the cleaning up at the end of the day. It’s a lot of work, but I enjoy the routine. I’m usually here until late evening making sure I’ve checked all the notes. There isn't any fancy decor or air conditioning that works perfectly, but the fans keep us cool enough. People find us because they need help with their studies and they want someone local. I’ve lived in this city my whole life and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Number 122 is a bit tucked away, but once you find it, it’s easy to get to by rickshaw.
