B.L.K.D. Shiksha Niketan Inter College

B.L.K.D. Shiksha Niketan Inter College is located in Kanpur, right in the middle of all the city noise. Kanpur is a very busy place with lots of traffic and people, and our college is no different. The building is older and has a lot of history to it. You can see the wear on the stairs where thousands of students have walked over the years. Being an inter college, we have older students who are preparing for their big exams. The classrooms are large with high ceilings to help with the heat during the Kanpur summers. We have a small staff room where we sit and drink tea between the classes. The noise from the street outside sometimes leaks into the rooms, but we are all used to it by now. There is no big campus with grass, just the building and a small paved area. Students stand around in groups talking about their subjects or just joking around during their lunch breaks. We have a lot of registers and paperwork that we keep in the main office. The walls are painted a simple cream color and we have some old photos of past batches hanging up. It is a very down-to-earth place where the focus is just on the books and the lessons. Life in Kanpur moves fast, but inside the college, we try to keep things steady for the students. It is a regular school day every day for us and we just keep going.
