Montfort Matriculation Hr.Sec. School

Down on Butt Road near St Thomas Mount is where you will find us. It is an older part of the city with plenty of history in the streets. Montfort has been part of this landscape for many years now. The school gate sits right on the road, so things can get a bit crowded during the morning drop-off. We have the usual setup with classrooms and spaces for the older students in the higher secondary sections. It is a very straightforward place with nothing too flashy or corporate about it. People living in the Mount area know the way to our school easily. We have a lot of students who come from the surrounding narrow streets. The morning assembly is usually when the day really kicks off. It is quite a sight to see everyone in their uniforms getting ready for class. We mostly focus on getting through the lessons and making sure the kids are ready for their exams. St Thomas Mount is a busy place, but once you get inside the walls, it feels a bit more settled. We have staff who have been working here for a decade or more. They know the families and the siblings who came before. It is a local school through and through. We do not spend much time on fancy brochures or marketing. We are just busy running the place day to day. It is hard work but it is what we do on Butt Road.
