Gurukshetra Public School

Our school is situated on Vaiyavoor Road, right near the Kanchipuram Railway Station. If you know Kanchipuram, you know it is famous for its temples and silk, and we are just a small part of this historic town. Gurukshetra Public School is where the local kids from around the station area come for their daily lessons. The sound of the trains passing by is something we have all gotten used to over the years. It is a simple place, really. We have a main building with classrooms and a small area for the students to play in. The road outside is always busy with people heading to the station or moving goods through the town. We don't have any grand decorations or fancy gates. It is just a school where we try to keep things orderly. The teachers are mostly local people who live in the narrow streets of Kanchipuram. We teach the usual subjects and try to keep the kids focused on their work. During the festival seasons, the whole town gets crowded, and we feel that energy here at the school too. It is a practical setup. We open the gates early in the morning and close them once the last student has been picked up in the evening. It is just a normal, everyday school life for us on Vaiyavoor Road, helping the children in our neighborhood learn what they need to know for their future.
