Mkm Matriculation Higher Secondary School is situated at No 1, Subhashree Nagar 3rd Phase in Mugalivakkam. Being in Chennai, we deal with the humidity and the busy city life every single day. The school is located in a residential area, so it feels a bit more like a neighborhood place. We have a solid building where we’ve been teaching for quite a while now. The mornings are full of the sound of school vans and parents on scooters dropping off their children. It gets quite loud until the first bell rings and everyone goes inside. The classrooms are standard with the usual wooden benches and big windows to let in some air. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations. It's more about the work we do inside the rooms. The teachers are local people who know the Mugalivakkam area well. During the breaks, the courtyard is full of kids running around and eating their snacks. We have to keep an eye on the water tanks and the electricity, especially when it rains heavily in Chennai. The school is just a regular part of the landscape in Subhashree Nagar. We don't try to impress anyone with big words. We just provide a place for students to come and learn their subjects. It is a very practical, no-nonsense environment where we take things as they come. It's just a normal school day, every day, here in Chennai, nothing more.
